Core Painting/ Coating System

The core coating systems are used to paint cores in order to improve the surface finish, moisture resistance and strength of core. The core painting system has a simple construction which carries out painting effectively. It primarily consists of coating tank, a core manipulator and a control panel.
A coating tank has tank-in-tank construction. A positive displacement pump circulates the coating solution. An outer tank has a storage capacity sufficient to ensure overflow of solution. Filter is provided on the input side of the pump to remove any impurities during circulation of the liquid.
The core manipulator clamps the core by use of pneumatic clamping system with soft pad to avoid any damage to the core surface. The cores are positioned at desired depth. They can be swiveled and oscillated in the coating solution if required. The angular position is controlled by sensors and the swiveling motion is imparted by a motorized chain sprocket arrangement. All the operations are controlled by means of PLC in Auto as well as Manual mode.
